I lost my only FOB riding to work last week, I didn't realize it until I got ready to go home. I contacted the previous (1st) owner and he couldn't remember the security code. My solution, buy a TSM as opposed to the TSSM. I know I can install thins myself but is there a way for me to flash the computer to make it forget the security system or is this only possible with special Harley tech equipment?
I think the HD tech can clear the code for you. Do you have the other FOB - it should have had two. Be sure to take your registration with you to prove ownership. If you buy the FOB from them the code clearing should be at no cost.
I have tried 11111, 00000, last 5 of VIN, 31313 and no luck with any of them.
I just ordered the Security-less TSM for $113 shipped 2 day air from www.cyclepartsforless.com I am wondering if there is a way for me to get the computer to forget the TSSM or if I HAVE to have a HD tech install and flash the computer to get the bike to forget the security information.
Wish I would have asked for an extra FOB when I bought the bike, wish I would have known about the security code before I lost the FOB. If you bought your bike used you can find out what the code is as long as you have your FOB present. Learn it, change it, remember it! Just please learn from other's mistakes!
