Most of the security is installed at the dealer. They use the same code on the bikes so that everyone can remember it. Find the original dealer and you may be able to get the code
I lost my only FOB riding to work last week, I didn't realize it until I got ready to go home. I contacted the previous (1st) owner and he couldn't remember the security code. My solution, buy a TSM as opposed to the TSSM. I know I can install thins myself but is there a way for me to flash the computer to make it forget the security system or is this only possible with special Harley tech equipment?
PM sent on your default code. Also, a dealer can reset the code for you.
There is no default code it is what ever the dealer that set it up decided they want to use.
Some use the last 5 of the vin my dealer uses their 5 digit dealer code.
My salesman made a VERY big deal out of explaining the importance of changing the code to something other than the one they put in. And also made a specific mention to the fob serial number tags. These have a note on them to place them in the owners manual after the bike is set-up.
And I believe not even the dealer can reset the security unless they have one of the fob serial numbers.
Ditto, my 08 UC's factory code was "12345." A HD tech at a local rally hooked it up to his computer and changed it for me for free. Hope this all works out for you!
