I don't think the bike gods have been smiling on me this year!&nbsp\\; First, I waited 5 months on a botched paint job on my 07 fatboy.&nbsp\\; Then 3 weeks to get the corrected paint job.&nbsp\\; Then 15 minutes into the first ride of the summer, I got ran off the road by an 18 wheeler-$6k damage.&nbsp\\; 2 months later (last friday) after fighting it out w/ insurance company and getting the local HD dealer to fix the bike-the bike came home...only to find that the dealer didn't put any oil back in the bike (which leaked out at the crash site).&nbsp\\; Come to find out-the service guy at the dealership test rode it 15 miles sans oil prior to me picking it up....

Taking up golf is looking better and better, but there's only one problem w/ that....golf sucks!!

That is some bad luck man, is the Dealer going to replace the engine or is it on you?

 

Dude, you must if really "pissed off" the Bike Gods...I hope everything works out in the long run though.

 

The dealership delivered a 08 RK classic w/ a 103 for me to ride until they figure out what to do... At any rate, the bike is still under the 2 yr warranty-I think at this point, they're probably going to dyno it to see if there's any damage, though that's just a guess.&nbsp\\; I told the service manager, "To put this in perspective-what if I took this loaner home, kept it for 2 mths, and before I brought it back, I drain all the oil (but left maybe a quart or less), then rode it 15 miles in 95 deg heat...would you guys be very happy about THAT?!?"&nbsp\\; I think he got my point, so we'll see what the outcome is....&nbsp\\;

 

The good news is its gotta get better from here out.
