Default Fatboy Fuel

Hi does anyone know if I can get a fuel gauge fitted on my 1998 Fatboy,my mate has a Dyna and the gauge is fitted on the dummy side of the tank but both my tank caps are needed to fill up.

I have one and couldn't tell you if it was accurate or not. All I use is my odometer. I never have trusted a motorcycle fuel gauge

Don't bother. Just go by the odometer. Reset every time you fill up. I ahve a guage and it's not very accurate.

Ditto that. The odometer is the best way to go. Reset the trip meter at each fill-up.

Forgot to say I usually fill up at 160 and still have at least a gallon to a gallon and half left.

You have a 2 piece tank without a fuel level sender. Might try retro fitting a later year tank with the sending unit in it. Then you would only have to power it up with the ignition circuit
