good pics and post. BTW, I didn;t remove pipes to get at the xsmission cover. I just lossened pipe at the headers, and at the muffler clamps. If you use a ball type allen wrench, you can loosen bottom bolts up enough to get the cover out.

Otherwise great post ....

So I ended up breaking my housing on the clutch cable... How did you get the threaded part out of the clutch release cover after it broke off? I tried hammering in a torx but it would just spin.

hi - Im about to install one of the HCC complete kits - I went for the 18" chubby apes complete with the chrome switch housings all pre-wired...this info will be invaluable....Thanks

Be very careful sliding the tank back or you will scratch the f#$k out of the rocker cover on the right side if your crossover hose clamp is stock. It rubs right along the top of your rocker. Trust me I did it.......so put a rag on top of your motor ...

I cut a square of cardboard off of a box lid and placed it between the clamp and the top of the rocker box cover.

Yup! Did the same thing, Scratch on the rocker cover.
