Progressive Fork Spring Oil

RE: Progressive Fork Spring Oil
When I had my Sportster I put the heavy SE fork oil in with the Progressive springs. I did not like the way the front end dove when braking and bottomed out when riding 2-up. Iweigh 170 and prefered a firm feel on the front forks. With the springs and heavy oil it rode firm but not harsh, and the front end would not drop when braking.

Just curious Charley, where did you buy then and how much were they? I need to do the same for my 05 1200C.

Anyone else have input on the oil used with these springs?

RE: Progressive Fork Spring Oil
Charlie,
I dunno about with the progressive springs, but just the heavier Screamin Eagle fork oil, has made my front suspension a LOT more firm. I'd say go with the regular fork oil. Then you can change out for heavier if ya want.
After the first time, getting that "Genie back in the bottle" (fork nut), it isn't too difficult. It's just one of those learning curve things.

Hey man, how did that go? Are you still trying to get the Genie back in the bottle, or out enjoying your new front suspension??
