Default width of drag bars

im going to go with 6 or 8 inch straight risers on my 2006 custom what do you guys find to be the best width for drag bars im thinking 30 wild1 has some nice bars that have decent pullback

I tried a couple different bars, but I kept the stock riser on my '06 Custom. I found the stock bars it came with to be OK, but too narrow. I tried the $30 "universal" drag bars from J&P Cycles, those were 32" with 4" pullback. I thought those were too wide, and they looked kind of weird at that width I thought too.

I finally settled on Biltwell Trackers, not a ture drag bar as they have an inch or so of rise, but the 30" width is perfect for me.

Not sure if that helps, but that's my .02 cents, 30" wide works for me.

I used the 28.5" drag bars with a 4" pull back from Licks Cycles. They work well and I did not have to change out any cables.

i like the licks bars everyone else seems to have the chubby bars im just looking for a regular bar i have a 2006 custom so i might be able to get away with 6 inch risers with stock cables maybe even 8 inch

Your factory risers should be around 4-5" if memory serves me right. The only issue I'd expect is your front brake line. Did you check slack in your cables?
