Default '09 Iron stock exhaust with new air intake question

I have a '09 Iron 883 with stock exhaust. I was wondering if anyone knows a good air intake to go with the stock exhaust pipes? Or is that even an option? I have looked up a lot of info on this stuff but everyone seems to have after market exhausts. Also, if i do get a different air intake do i need to get an upgrade?

thanks

My generic 2 pence. I can't exactly vouch for Harleys (as I'm currently debating buying my first one) but generally you can put a better intake on your engines without any real issue. You'll throw your AFR off a bit and generally make the bike/car sound a bit more throaty and deep. Many people get a placebo of better performance, but its generally a tiny touch worse... depending on the vehicle and state of the stock breather...

What are you looking to get from it? A better look or actually make the bike perform a little better? If its just for the look then there isn't too much issue. You might gain or loose few hp at most, get a different engine note (normally deeper) and burn a tiny bit more petrol. I've never known of a single problem to occur from just changing the intake to something like a cone or high flow filter. Providing it is adequately filtering your air and removing any unwanted particles of course.

If you want a simple yet efficient and improved stage 1 a/c, you can't get better bang for the buck for a Vance & Hines Naked VO2 of of eBay. Then with the money you save by not buying a fancy "Designer" named a/c you can get yourself a set of XiEDs or X14iEDs to improve your a/f ratio and an Exotx Super filter for it (also on eBay). Then you'll be all set for the time, if and/or when you decide to get a different stage 1 exhaust system as well.

You can't get a better intake than the Outlaw 425 or Outlaw 587.

Both will work well with your stock exhaust, all the way up to a Stage IV upgrade.

Many looks to choose from.

They are just starting up and seem to on to something. Bolt on 17% HP right out of the box with stock exhaust.

There intake lets you change quickly from a Velocity stack to a cone style K & N Filter. It looks awesome.

Very interesting. Notice, they are not putting the hot oily air back into the combustion chamber.

Will be cool to see some dyno charts of how it performs.

They bolted onto an 883 Iron and it went from 43hp to 50.5hp with no tuning and stock exhaust. I'm excited to see what kind of results they get by changing those two things too.
