Default V&H Big Radius on '14 48

Hi,

I'm planning on installing V&H Big Radius exhausts on my 2014 Forty-Eight. Does anyone know if the '14 model use the same exhaust system as the 2013 and earlier models? Thanks!

I'm not sure. I took off my Rush Slip Ons and was going to sell them to a buddy who recently bought a 2014 1200 Custom (mine is a 2012 48) and the mufflers would not fit due to very subtle changes in the placement of the screw positions on the custom. The same is true of the side covers on the two years... I'll never understand why Harley does this kind of thing.

Im not 100% sure but there seems to be a mounting issue with the 2014s being that the rear master cylinder is relocated to the exhaust side...

I made a thread for ones that have been retooled for fit on the 2014s...Hope this helps

I don't know anything about the master cylinder, but I do know that they've gone to the little oxygen sensors for 2014 like some of the Twin Cams already had. So at a minimum you need some adapter bushings to fit a 2007-2013 pipe up to a 2014 bike (the adapter bushings are readily available by the way).

I have heard the same thing, but also heard that V&H did some retooling on at least one of their exhaust systems to fit the 2014?

You might want to call V&H and ask them to be certain - 562 921-7461 And Welcome to the HDForums

Those pipes will not work on your bike. Check out the link below. The only pipes available for the 2014s are the short shots and slip ons. The oxygen sensors now sit down in the pipe, so I believe an adapter is not an option.

Have to have new pipes for 2014 unfortunately. Rear master cylinder move cause a change in mounting on top of the different sized o2s. I wanted sideshots and ended up going for twin slash slip ons over the, IMO, played out short shots and couldn't be happier. V&H Big Radius on '14 48-image-1396840350.jpg

Edit: here's a thread that shows all your options for 2014s. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showt...7231&styleid=7

Thanks fellas! I guess Big Radius pipes are out of the question, but at least I know what are my options.
