Default HWY 54 Race Day

Rode over to New Port Ritchey yesterday via Hwy 54. Somewhere about halfway another scoot aggressively passes me. Well, heheh, fun time.

Nice sounding powerful scoot. We lit the road up the next 10 miles ending up at HD. He was all ecstatic, seems he just got his bike back and was the first time he opened up since his engine build to a 110.

I could see the puzzled look on his face when he saw that a 103 could keep up with him and pass him up at times. For some reason I didn't tell him mine had a little work too, it wasn't your normal 103. Next time I see him I'll let him know, until then he'll still wonder about that one > laffs

Me? I wouldn't tell him anything. You paid for or made the difference. Let him wonder.

lmbo...we seem to have like thoughts. Fluid change and I'm swapping out the 103 derby/cam covers with the 25338-99a & 32047-99a. Trying to keep the nostalgic look.

Used to call them 'sleepers'. Knew a guy a hundred years ago.....had a four door 1964 falcon. He squeezed a small block v-8 in it. (this is about 1974).
It looked stock from the outside...but ran differently than most would have thought.
Nobody knew, that did not know him....why would he tell?

See...we think alike. Had a 56 chevy pik up was a sleeper years ago, same chit. Mean!
Top end is next. I'm not going to worry with the horror stories with the tranny nor the primary adjusters and failures.
I look at it like if it doesn't hold up, screw it, I'll slap a S&S on the frame, and never look back again.

I do like sleeper mode...lol
