RE: Black Engine Bolt Covers
DONT BUY THE BLACK HOT TOPPERS. they will NOT hold up to the heat.
i had them,,,they melt even with normal engine temps, they will deform and look funky. The chrome one reflects the heat and holds up good.
serioulsy, bolts cost less than the friggin toppers. I only use them where its not feasible to replace the bolts. Use polished stainless.

I had always purchased Hot Toppers and had good success with them. However, when I purchased them for my 2010 Street glide I had a lot of problems with the chrome wrinkling up and ultimately peeling. They replaced some a few times but then just stopped responding. I think they had trouble with the 96 and up engine size heat. I replaced them with Harley aluminum ones. No more trouble.
