Default New Road King

Okay, pulled the trigger today. Selling the Heritage Classic and buying a (new to me) '09 Road King Classic. Trying to upload a picture, but not sure it is working. It is still sitting in Wichita, KS. I plan to take the bus out there the next warm spell in the weather and drive it home. Can't wait!

I am looking forward to comparing the two bikes. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I returned to riding after a 35 + year absence. The Heritage was my first bike in all those years, and my first Harley. I have to say I really enjoyed how it handled. I had a blast and put over 3000 miles on it. But, everyone I have talked to says if I want my wife to enjoy riding two up, I should go to the King...so here we go.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the Road King handles much BETTER than your Heritage. Check the lean angles. The Road King will lean much further (8-9 degrees further--that's alot!) and thus corner tighter and better at higher speeds. You will enjoy it riding solo, not just with your wife.

Good for you, Road King = King Of The Road. They ride lighter then what they weight.
