Default finaly had something break

air temp gauge broke on my 13 ultra . looked down at it and the needle is at 0 degrees. oh well. was only a matter of time on an HD. but no biggie. guess gives me and excuse to buy a oil temp gauge. hope theyre not to hard to install. seems should be pretty straight forward.

Replaced mine with the oil temp gauge. Harley should be embarrassed by that waste of space ambient air temp gauge. Only time mine was correct was first thing in the morning before I left the garage. Nice to see my oil pressure and oil temp when I ride.

Only problem with the oil temp gage is you can shocked by the temps you see. I sorta liked riding NOT knowing what the temp was....

I actually had the opposite result. I was surprised to see the oil temps stay low when moving but once we hit traffic the temp quickly climbs from 175 to 225. Another thing that surprised me was how quick the oil cooled when we take a break.

I must be the only person that actually likes the air temp gauge. And mine is accurate.

I use it more as an air intake temp than actual ambient air temp. It seems to run high and more closely resemble the temp down around the air cleaner. But yea, first time the fairing comes off it'll be the oil temp.
