Default YUASA GYZ32HL battery for 2006 Ultra?

I know this battery is supposed to fit according to the manufacturer's information, but I wonder if it fits the same as my HD OEM battery? That existing HD battery is already a very tight fit. In fact I had to fabricate some bolts with handles to pull the OEM battery out last time I removed it.

Thanks.

I don't know about your 06 but I just installed that exact battery in my 09 and it fit just like it was suppose too.

I believe there were frame changes after 2006, so perhaps the battery box is different. Just need to find out before I buy a battery online that will not fit. Maybe someone has a battery setting on the floor somewhere that could be measured. I cannot seem to find the OEM dimensions online. Thank you.

same battery all touring models since 1997

some models use a nylon pull strap under the battery, do not trust it it'll chafe under the batter and maybe drop your battery on the tank

some pull by the lugs.

I used a piece of 2" guitar strap under mine

which is a yuasa gyz32hl

IF your battery is swollen, it could be a charging system problem or bad chemistry inside the battery and it s not venting

YUASA GYZ32HL (500 CCA) is 8.5" x 7" x 5.5". My existing battery is fine except it is eight years old and I figured it is time to replace it. HD OEM. Always on a tender, which is why it has lasted so long. Thank you.
