Hello everyone, I would like to ask this forums advice on straight fishtail pipes. My father-in-law has an '06 Roadking and wants to add fishtail pipes to his ride. Where is the best place to purchase? Are there any pros or cons with going to a straight pipe? Any advice would help, thanks in advance...

I'm not assavvy as other riders on the forum but what I've heard about straight pipes makes me suspect that they're quite a bit louder thanslip-on mufflers. Samson and Vance & Hines make great looking pipes and if he's not too concerned with an increase in noise he'll like them. If he wants something that has a deep, yet mellow sound he might consider the Screamin' Eagle Touring slip-on's with Shark/Fishtails. Its the same setup on my RKC and I'm happy with them. My wife and neighbors would complain if they were any louder.

I have the Samson drag fishtails. I bought them from j and p. I love them. Yes, they are loud, but I wanted that. Very happy with them. Make sure that when he installs them, he replaces the old clamp. My right pipe blues quite a bit, because (I am assuming) I did not replace the clamp. I use blue job on them, and it works just fine. I am very happy with them.
