pipes for a 06....
Never really looked at pipes all that much, the one on my old bike (02)were great...now I have an 06...and nothing I looked at before is even going to fit.
I'm totally at square one.
I'm not looking for top of the line (I wish), I just want some pipes that will transform my bike from a sewing machine into something with *****.
Seriously appreciate any thoughts y'all might have.

I run Vance & Hines Short shots on my '06 1200C and they made a LARGE difference on how the bike runs. I now run out of gears when getting on the freeway here a mexifornia where before I was still shifting gears on the on ramp. It brought out the SPORTY in my Sporster

If you can find them, I have SE II slip-ons on my 06. They sound awesome. But from what I gather from what I've read since I've been a member here, they are kinda hard to find. I think I heard something about Screamin' Eagle SP (?) pipes being very similar.

I had SS on my bike and they were ok but a bit loud. I then put quiet baffles in them and they helped. However, I wasn't really sold on them as I changed out parts. I finally put the stock pipes back on with some Python slip ons and I couldn't be happier. They sound great and look better than the SS IMO.
