Advice on Pipes
I am getting ready to do my very first modification to my 2009 Superglide .
I want to change out the pipes and have found myself eyeballing the Vance Hines Long Shots. I like the look, but to be perfectly honest I am unsure which set of pipes I want to install that gives me that great harley sound while doing the least amount of damage to my wallet. There are so many choices. I want lounder pipes than the stock ones I have now; but I don't necessarly want the loudest.
Which brings me to my questions:
1) What other pipes should I be considering that are not that costly but are a good product?
2) Is it worth spending the money on something like the Vance Hines when I can get screaming eagle slip-ons for almost half the price?
3) I ride in Southern California; we have that emmissons thingy going on; what should I be aware of when chaning out the pipes?
4) I asked the HD Shop guys if I change to aftermarket pipes will it void any warranties; answer was no. But I figure I should ask you all if there is anything I should be cautious of?
5) Any other advice or suggestions?
6) and.... last but not least; lets see some pics of pipes!

I really like the V&H Big Shot staggered. Then for looks, the Big Radius are really hard to beat. Short shots are cool too, and on eBay you can find them for under 300 dollars, sometimes. Of course, if you just want more and better sound, go for the slip ons from Vance and Hines, or Rush, or any other after market co.

Better to wish for World peace....easier to attain...you own a Harley Davidson..BTW in CA they will start doing emission testing so I would recommend SEII slip ons so you can convert back to stock easily.

The Big Radius pipes are also very cool, but it's gotten to the point where everyone has them now....but that might not matter to you.

The V&H Longshots are not offered for Dynas newer than 2005. I like them a lot too. The Double Barrel's are nice as well as the Big Shot Staggerds. The Double Barrels come back farther than the BSS. You can look at their website: www.vanceandhines.com
