Oil Temp Guage

I'm not sure about the 09 version, but the one I installed on my 06 RG had instructions for installing it in the oil lines on the right side of the motor. I installed mine in the extra hole in the oil pan. I had to get an adapter at the automotive parts store so the sender unit could be installed there. Apparently, it provides a better temperature reading in the oil pan rather than the oil line.

Most if not all the guages are built by Rodger McEwan... I have had his in my baggers now for about 6 years and He is very easy to get on the phone and if there is ever a problem or question - you can talk right to the guy that made them... You can maybe find a better price else where on the web, I would just make sure they are his.... you can deal right with him... I do believe the contact info here is current... give him a call and ask..

It comes with everything you need to install except the fitting for the oil pan on the earlier models. It isn't immediately obvious, at least to me, from reading the numbers on the gauge as to exactly which marking corresponds with what temp. What i thought was 180 was actually 160 when i checked it with a laser thermometer.
