If you are someone who had a confirmed bank angle sensor problem, I am interested to know the following: 1) When it acted up, did you need to cycle the kill switch or ignition before it would crank? 2) Did it throw a code?
THANKS!!!

Not sure what kind of problem your looking for. When I dumped my bike I think the error code was tilt. I turned the ignition off, then picked the bike up. When I turned the ignition and kill switch on it was fine.
I'm sorry to hear about your mishapps...never want to be there myself. However, I am actually looking for folks who have had a BAS fail. They do and the effects are PITA.

Not quite sure what you mean in describing the problem - is this the one where you are just driving along in traffic and the engine quits - and after you coast to the side of the road through the trucks and other traffic, shut off the ignition, wait 5 seconds, turn it on again the engine restarts?
That is a MAJOR PITA - just happened to me again last Sunday while I was passing a semi. Very infrequent occurrence (happened to me 5 times in 2 years, last time was 12,000 km (7,200 miles) prior - dealer is stymied, no codes - and the bike is still covered by ESP.
That be it! PITA is an understatement. Might translate to a real pain someday when the car riding up my *** doen't realize that my engine just quit.
Well if I figure out what my problem is I'll let you know. Seems like lots of other posts on the problem when you do the search but so far not really helpful. A lot of people seem to think we are "accidentally" hitting the kill switch but I know that isn't the problem. All my connections are checked, new battery installed, and dealer serviced. Still happening.
Here are a few other links on the same thing in this forum:
Your bank angle switch is also your TSM or with alarm your TSSM signal light switch. Its located in front of the rear wheel behind the plastic shield on a Softail. Mine just drops in two notches and snaps under a plastic clip. Make sure its snapped in correctly and while you are down there unplug it and make sure the terminals are clean. If its loose it could give all kinds of bad signals. Guess it could shut off the bike at 65 bouncing over a bump in the road. Its really in a bad area and catches water and weather. If you have the alarm may as well check that connection. Its just below the TMS plugged in to it with a pigtail.
