Default Two questions for FM build

I will be receiving my FM107 kit this week and have two questions regarding replacement parts.

I'm installing the LMR pressure relief spring to bump the oil pressure. Does the roll pin holding the spring in need to be replaced or can I just reuse the old one?

Same question for the front cam snap ring. Does that need to be replaced as well or will the original one be fine?

I hate going to the dealer and spending $25 for two pieces of metal that cost about $.20 to produce. Thanks in advance.

the roll pin is about $0.10 and im pretty sure the snap ring is cheap.

that said, i reused the rollpin the first time i swapped springs becuase i forgot to get them. now, i have a lot of them in the shop

snap ring is worth replacing

Sounds good. I'll just buy new pieces. Better safe than sorry.

I reused both of mine. Make sure the roll pin doesn't slip in and out by hand and the snap ring should spring back so you can't spin it on the cam when installed. At work I reuse both all the time while working on CNC mills and lathes and never had a problem.

Thanks for the input. I broke down and just bought two new pieces. Better safe than sorry. It was actually less painful than I thought. $3.90 for both pieces. Not too bad considering I purchased that from a dealership.

Haha you must be a lot more patient than me. Hope the rest of your build goes well.

There have been some recent cases of the front cam snap ring coming off. Its a way better option, when in there to always replace this ring.

You can re-use the roll pin with NP.
