Default 6-1/2" Kicker Speakers on my SE Ultra?

I am wanting to possibly upgrade my Boom Audio 5-1/2" speakers on my '08 SE Ultra and saw the Kickers the other day and was just kinda curious. Don't know anything about them, and ideas or experiences? I had ARC in my last dresser and was VERY happy. Just pokn around for now for ideas.

Most Kicker speakers are 4 ohm. If you running the stock HK head unit without an amp ya need to stick with 2 ohm speakers to keep the little undistorted volume ya have. Infinity and JBL have some good 2 ohm 6.5" coax speakers and the Polk mm 6.5s are very popular but nearly an extra ohm.

No speaker upgrade will make a difference without adding an amp.

Nice catch. Didn't see that. Of course, it is a Boom type amp so it's probably only putting out 40-50 watts RMS a channel. Not going to sound good with a lot of speakers. Maybe the Polk db or dxi series would make a difference. Possibly the Infinity Reference 6032's.

The Kickers will work, just don't know how they are going to sound with a small amp.

Keep in mind CVO audio setups are 1 ohm speakers.

I had the fairing off a while ago and the upper fairing speakers did state that they are 2 ohm. And yes, it has an amp under the tour pack above the brake light. And I as well think I saw that it is a 40 watt amp.
