Default Rims for 2001 fxdl? Want to replace the spokes..

OK.. I know that I read it somewhere, but which rims will fit on an 01 low rider? I want to go with mags now as the spokes won't come clean and I tried to do the spoke wraps today and failed.

I'm just going to buy some new rims and put new rubber and brakes on it at the same time..
I know that it is a 39 mm front end with 19 front and 16 rear.. What year's sporty rims are a direct swap?

Thank you.

It's 08 and up...

That's when the bearing bore depths were changed with introduction of the 25mm ID bearings.

To use your OE 3/4" x 21mm wide bearings, you need custom spacers.

I have a question for you multi, right now as far as a true set of wheels go I'm finding sets for the 99 and down models. Will those rims fit? Or would that be a major work?

Thank you sir..

99-earlier use 3/4" tapered roller bearings vs. 2000-later use sealed ball bearing

Because the 99-earlier hubs have a smaller centering/locator for the rotors and pulley, you would need replacements or a special bushing ring (that is available) for your originals.

The front wheel is a slightly narrower than your front wheel so you would need caliper spacers.

Getting 2000-later wheels is the best choice
