California’s ‘Chopperfest’ Rescheduled for February

Chopperfest

Famously kickass bike & lifestyle fest will turn up the heat this winter.

The 14th Annual Chopperfest has been rescheduled this year due to the Thomas Fire in California. But mark your calendar, because the wild party returns to Ventura County on February 4. And, because they are such cool people, they will be giving a portion of the proceeds from the event to help those affected by the fire.

Chopperfest was created to celebrate choppers and the lifestyle of those who ride these bad boys. Dubbed the “motorcycle art and culture show,” it is a celebration of all things we associate with the two-wheeled life. Initially, Chopperfest was created to honor artist David Mann, whose work and life was dedicated to the wild, wonderful world of chopper life. The festival grew to become a hot place to view Mann’s original artwork, hang out with fellow riders, check out a very sizable gathering of custom cycles, and rock out with your chop out.

Of course, when you get this group together, you also get one good party. Crowds fill up the Ventura County Fairgrounds for events including live music, an art show, and plenty of food and drinks. Hundreds of vendors will be selling rare, custom, and very cool motorcycle and lifestyle merch. There will also be an all-brand antique and custom motorcycle show. Many noted custom bike builders will be displaying their work. And you can find everything you need at the new and used motorcycle parts swap meet.

If you have a custom bike you’d like to show off, you can enter the “If You Build it They Will Come” all-brand motorcycle show, which features over 17 classes of motorcycles from antique and old school, to special construction and radical design classes. The winner gets bragging rights, and a trophy. Information on how to enter your bike is available on the website.

No party is complete without a pre-party, and Chopperfest turns out quite a bash, with live music, giveaways, and a bike show ride.
