Fall Guide: Harley Davidson Women’s Gloves

By -

Gloves can be a fashion statement, and Harley Davidson gloves are no
exception. The truth is, though, when you are riding, gloves are really
safety equipment. Not only do they protect your hands from wind and
debris, but they provide a reliable grip. That can be critical. Harley
Davidson gloves are built with riding in mind, and that makes them
superior. Of course, they also reflect your passion for Harley Davidson
style. Harley offers open tip, full finger and gauntlet styles.

Open Finger

For end of summer and fall use, open finger gloves might be the
answer. Of course, there are those who prefer them all year round
because they find the full finger variety to be restrictive on their
movement. Harley offers five different open finger gloves for women in
the 2010 line. The fingerless airflow gloves are leather construction
with micro-perforations to provide airflow for cooling. The
manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $35. The perforated fingerless
gloves are basically the same in terms of features and price, but
different in terms of style. For $5 less, you can get the mesh airflow
fingerless gloves. The women’s classic fingerless gloves list for $39.
They don’t offer the airflow that the perforated and mesh gloves, do,
though. There is also a Women’s Fall Miss Enthusiast Fingerless glove
that coordinates with some of Harley’s other apparel offerings. They
sell for $40, but don’t offer airflow, either. The Miss Enthusiast and
Airflow styles are available only in stores, but the rest can be
purchased at your dealer or the Harley Davidson website.

Full Finger

Harley has a dozen or so varieties of ladies’ full finger gloves in
their 2010 line. One option is the Seasonal Airflow Full-Finger Gloves.
They are made of lightweight mesh, but have leather accents. The
combination provides cooler wear with the style of leather. They list
for $35. Another choice is the Airflow Full Finger Gloves. They are
similar to the Seasonal ones, but without the leather. The pricing is
the same. They also offer a leather airflow glove for $45 and a
perforated leather glove for $55. There are other full finger varieties
if the temperature isn’t an issue. Plus, Harley sell liners to use with
their lighter gloves for additional warmth in the winter.

Gauntlet and Heated Gloves

To prepare for the cold weather ahead, the gauntlet and heated glove
varieties are worth looking at. Harley has one style of gauntlet glove
for women and they sell for $59. They also sell two types of heated
gloves, ranging in price from $170 to $185.

Remember that size and fit are important when buying gloves. For that
reason you should probably go into a dealer and try on gloves before
purchasing, but there are some styles available online.
