1998 Sportster Is the Best Gift a Grandma Can Give!

Harley-riding granny’s ‘retired’ bike inspires flat-track fantasies.

Now, we love our granny and all but we don’t deny that we’d actually consider trading her in for this guy’s grandma! He is the lucky recipient of a beautiful 1998 Sportster, which was his gran’s “retired” bike that was bequeathed to him.

“Grandma decided after 30 years she couldn’t ride anymore. Thanks for the new bike grandma,” says Caterham09 on Reddit, where he shared a shot of the gorgeous gift.

‘It’s my first bike, but after I get lots of experience and practice I’m planning on buying a sport bike to have some fun with on the track.’

One thing is apparent: Grandma has mad style! The Harley itself is stunning, but the saddlebags and streamers really kick up the fun factor with these practical additions.

“I’ll be riding it for probably around a year,” says Caterham09. “It’s my first bike, but after I get lots of experience and practice I’m planning on buying a sport bike to have some fun with on the track.”

Of course, buying a new bike doesn’t mean he’ll soon be parting with granny’s groovy ex-ride.

“Oh, I’m not getting rid of it!” he says. “Never sell anything passed down to you.”

You don’t need yo tell us twice. We’d never part with a Sportster like this gem either.
