Local faves Teakwood Drive Band headlines May 27 music and food event that offers attendees chance to win $500 Harley gift card.

Florida’s Naples Harley-Davidson, whose slogan is “More Than Just The Ride,” is living up to its motto with a benefit on May 27 for the four families whose homes burned down in the nearby Collier County brush fires in April.

Naples Harley is dedicating this month’s “Bike Night” on May 27 to the families, however the event will actually be an all-day occasion. The fundraiser begins at 10 a.m. with a poker run that will be free to enter. From 1-5 p.m. there will be a bike wash, games, and entertainment, along with Budweiser beer and “worldwide cuisine” from the Brit Pit food truck. From 5-9 p.m. there will be jewelry and clothing vendors, plus Teakwood Drive Band will be on-hand playing their mix of Southern rock classics and original songs. Food trucks include Bombin’ Tacos offering up their premier stuffed tortillas, and Little Pete’s serving up their Italian “big bites of Brooklyn.”

While at the event, you can also enter for a chance to win a $500 gift card from Naples Harley-Davidson. Monetary donations will be pooled and divided equally among the families whose homes burned.

In April 2017, the Collier County brush fires quickly spread through Golden Gate Estates and engulfed 7,034 acres, causing 2,000 homes to be evacuated. “The fire was throwing embers a quarter to a half-mile in front of itself,” Florida Forest Service spokesman Joe Zwierzchowski told Naples Daily News at the time.

Serving the greater Southwest Florida area since 1994, Naples Harley-Davidson’s excellent reputation is built upon the premise that their dealership provides MORE than just that great ride you get on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The dealership was awarded H-D’s prestigious “Silver Bar and Shield Circle of Achievement Award” for the 2011 calendar year, and H-D’s “Gold Bar and Shield Circle of Excellence Award” for the 2010 calendar year.

So stop in at Naples’ 27,000 square-foot designer H-D storefront on May 27 for a day of fun, music and Harleys. After all, this life is more than just a ride.
