What’s the Best Mod You’ve Made to Your Bike?
I love em all. But I'll tell you my best bang for the buck mod:
A FIAMM Freeway Blaster horn for a grand total of 15 bucks. Direct fit, simple as can be, and about 30 to 40 percent louder and deeper than the stock horn.
Money really well spent here in L.A., where a loud sounding horn can come in handy.

The first and best modification was unbolting the clutch cable
from the triple tree, so that it would ride straight down the
road with out pulling to the left. The second best modification
is the Throttle Up Industries Touring Stabilizer.

-The "mod" I benefit the most has to be my aux/fog lights.
Apart from a very much improved night vision, it's the daily added visibility that I enjoy (yes, there're still idiots that won't see you no matter what, but the extra lights definitely help)
-The crash bar saved my bike when it was pushed whilst parked by an old bitch that couldn' distinguish between brake and gas pedal on her cage, so for that reason I really have no regrets for the crashbar, plus they provide the perfect location mount for aux/fog lights.
-FCS, i.e. cooling fans for my engine, they make a HUGE difference in summer. You could leave the bike parked all they long in the sun with the engine running and it would never overheat. In city traffic the engine stays cooler and therefore performs better.
-ammo cans+easy brackets. They provide safe, lockable and waterproof storage, which extends the use of the bike for daily grocery runs or to provide a safe storage during trips for expensive gloves/camera/tools etc
-PowerVision, still tooling with it, but man did it make a difference! I must have picked up for sure a few horses with it as the bike runs so much stronger
