Default Repair on a 2014 ultra limited help me!

Hi all. Just bought a 2014 ultra limited last week along with a 7 year warranty. Today I am 300 miles from home in a hotel while my bike is at the service department at least until tomorrow. The bike won't accelerate after 2000 rpms and tops out at about 40. Harley says it's my problem and wants 500 bucks to fix. Any advice ? I now have 500 miles on it and can't imagine I should have to shell out 500 to fix after a #%#%% week thanks in advance

How the heck is it your problem? Is the brand new bike modded in any way? I'd be on the phone to the selling dealer first thing in the morning.

Some details might help...

Who says it's your problem, a dealer or the MoCo? And why would such a dramatic issue with a brand new bike be your problem?

Something is missing here.

Need more information to make a meaningful comment. What did the dealer say was wrong with your bike? Have you called your selling dealer?

Dealer called Moco and they think it is a clutch problem. The 500 is to replace the clutch. I haven't done anything but ride it I haven't called my dealer didn't think about it but will in the morning. There are no mods nothing new since I drove it home but gas.
The service manger told me there had been a clutch recall but after looking up my vin he told me it had been completed

Why would this not be covered under warranty?

Did you know there is a recall on the clutch? See this post. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...-9-8-14-a.html

What's the symptoms? What caused you to take it to a dealership? Did you ride it 300 miles with a slipping clutch?
