Braking problems
I have an Australian delivered 2014 Road King Classic with the ABS and interconnected brakes.
In city traffic at low speed braking (say 3-5 MPH) and when pulling up there is a loud noise from the front brakes (particularly the left one?) and vibration.
The discs, pads and calipers have been cleaned, but it didn't help.
The dealer then fitted new front rotors and pads (Harley items, not aftermarket), but still no change.
They then told me to rub the rotors with wet-and-dry and flush out the calipers with a garden hose. Still no change.
I did notice that when using just the rear brake, the front brake still made the noise (interconnected brakes are not supposed to work at very low speeds though)
The Harley importers suggested that I ride differently to avoid the issue. That is brake harder. Got to be kidding!
I borrowed a new bike last weekend (same exact model) and there was no issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and how was it resolved - apart from selling the bike?
