Default Front brake noise

Took a nice 75-mile ride through some mountain roads today and part way through I started hearing a "buzzing" type sound from the front brakes under light application. Almost sounds like a bee trapped in a plastic cup.

Brakes pads are new (from the dealer) and I didn't hear this noise during the first 50-or so miles I'd ridden the bike. It doesn't have ABS so it wasn't that. Could the brake pads be bedding in?

Any and all ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ray

It's normal since the front rotor(s) are drilled, and the pads are new. Don't worry about it.

my New Low Rider S does this too, sounds like a Cicadas chirping away.

Get used to it. 16k miles and mine got a little quieter, but never goes away.

Good to know it's a normal noise!

Thanks to all.

I took care of that noise by installing louder pipes. Works great.

That's like the mechanic that said he couldn't fix the brakes so he made the horn louder....

I recently changed to Lyndall Z+ carbon/kevlar racing brake pads and replaced the worn front rotor with a good used part and now it sounds like an angry bee in a cup...but I do have some seriously good brakes!
