let dealer do it. very easy to do, but cheaper if they do it on esp. I did mine in 10 minutes but paid full price as i didn't want to leave bike there for them to do it.

Well crap! Mine quit working over the weekend. But mine wont stay on. The switch will still turn the aux lamps on but the detent or what ever it is that holds it in the on position is bad. If I hold the push button switch down the lamps are on. As soon as you let go they turn off. Gonna pick up a new one today after work. It's under warranty but I already know the dealer won't have the mechanics available to let me wait on it so I'll just replace it myself.

Bezer, my 2016 does the same thing unless I "pop" the button whenever I turn off the passing lamps (which isn't often).

Mine will not find its detent again if I just lazy push it. I push the button and slide finger off it so when it pops up it does so at higher velocity. Only then will it hold itself on next time I turn on the lamps.

This doesn't really bother me since my passing lamps are on 99% of the time. I only turn them off at night, and don't ride at night much anymore.

Get ready...the button will hang up again and you'll be back at the dealer buying a new switch...unless...You simply give the button a shot of penetrating oil. Croil is the best but even WD-40 will work. Spray it around the button, pop it a few times, let it soak...it will free right up, believe me, I've been there and done it.

These switches don't appear to be entirely weather tight and the little mechanism gets corroded, gummed up and sticky. It just needs to be used more or lubed up just a bit periodically.
