Default S&S Lifters

I'm changing out the stock lifters on my 110" RGUSE at 15000 mi. I'm going to the S&S lifters, the less expensive ones. Does anyone here know how many miles I can expect to get out of a set of these? Is there any benefit to going with the more expensive S&S lifters. I seldom twist the engine over 4000 rpm and change the oil at 5000 mi intervals with a good 20w50 synthetic. My bike is stock except for the exhaust. Thanks in advance.

I put the "cheaper" ones in my bike and haven't had a problem. I probably have close to 15k on them.

I use to have a 110 in my 12 CVO Roadglide before a lifter took out the engine at 18K. I now have a 120R and i swapped the lifters at 122 miles. I went with the S&S regular lifters and have had no problems in 10K miles. That being said, i have taken to viewing lifters as wear items and plan to replace them in the 120R at 15K intervals.

I replaced my other bike at 15K and found they were just starting to show some wear. Any HD lifter including SE in my opinion has a limited life span. The bigger you go in displacement, makes me want to consider them a wear item

the 110 valve springs are overkill in my opinon and cause most of the lifter problems. in working on my 120R, i changed the factory springs for some Woods springs and found a lot of difference in how the engine performed.

Your results could be different however if you plan on keeping the bike long term, i would invest in adjustable pushrods as well. Lifter changes are a lot easier.

I asked the same question to S&S for my 09 RK (96"). I was told their High Performance Hydraulic Tappets would work fine in a basically stock engine. However, your 110 probably has stronger valve springs and perhaps the Premium High Performance would be best for you. Have you discussed this with S&S? If you are in doubt, spend the extra $140 for piece of mind and don't look back.
