My horn is on a shelf in the garage. looks so much better now. I put a relay on the horn wires and now the horn button opens the garage door.

I located the positive horn trigger wire in the left side bundle under the seat and tapped into it, added and grounded a relay under the left side cover, soldered a couple of wires to the garage remote's switch contacts and attached those to the switched terminals on the relay. Now when I press the horn button (ACC or IGN on) the garage door opens. Could easily be done with the horn still in service but i was taking the ugly thing off anyway.

I did manage to reattach the horn. The top of the mounting bracket is still there, but the bottom part is no more. The top clip was half gone, but the bottom clip was still attached to the bike. The bottom clip is now the top clip, so one bolt and two zipties now hold the horn secure. Maybe it'll last another 128,000 miles, as is.
