After you take the seat and console cover off snap a picture with your cellphone, it makes it a bit easier to route the electric and vent lines when reinstalling the tank. I didn't and it was still no big deal but a pic doesn't hurt. AND, if possible do the job when your fuel gauge is closer to E than F......

It's not difficult however I'd suggest you either purge the fuel line first as outlined in the service manual or let the bike sit overnight before you disconnect the fuel line. What you don't want to do is park the bike in your garage after a ride and immediately disconnect the fuel line. The devil is always in the details.

The fuel level thing never crossed my mind but I know I would've wished it had! LOL


I may have figured out the letting it sit thing. Just cause I would do it fresh in the AM.
