Trading 14 SGS in for 14 Electra Glide
I've approached a dealer in NJ and have begun the discussion of what it would take to swap the 14 SGS with the $6,000 in extras for a 14 Electra Glide straight up. We will see.....
Thanks for all of your PM's with advice and suggestions.

Actually.....he said I'd probably end up with a straight trade and a $1500 parts credit.
That was his initial offer after seeing the bike at lunch.
Tells me he has someone with deep pockets already in mind and can make a couple bucks on the deal.
We will see. Not getting my hopes up.

I'm sure I missed something, but why the switch?

i think you will be much happier the the EG--either ultra or limited. use the parts credit for upgrading the suspension before it ever leaves the dealer.

I wouldn't give them $6k in extras, but then again, if you figure the SG is "used" and cost less to begin with it might be a good trade.....

What are you going to gain from this??? The frame and suspension is identical except for the rear shocks are 1 inch longer on the Ultra.
Just put the Ultra shocks on your SGS and you have the same bike. I don't get it. Yesterday you are selling your bike with your post, "selling out".
I just don't see what you are going to gain by this. In 500 more miles on the Ultra you will be whining again. Go back to your Goldwings
