installing new grips

right side was a simple replacement, left side required a 180 twist of the grip and special attention to a metal trim ring on the controls.
I'm sure the manual has a nice process listed, but I was skittish with the digital readout selector ****, so I didn't completely remove the control housing.

Tried installing ISO grips on my bike today, throttle was a snap, the clutch side not so much. I can't get the back part of the housing to move to get the grip off..I don't want to put a lot of pressure for fear of breaking something. The bike looks weird as hell with 2 different grips..Anyone have any suggestions?

1) Remove the half of the switch housing that faces the rider and set aside.
2) Remove the clutch clamp and clutch lever/housing/mirror (be careful not to drop it or let it fall.)
3) This should give you enough room to wiggle the remaining half of the switch housing and slide the left grip out.
