Default Do all Tourers Now Have the Same Length Shocks?

Used to be Street Glides and maybe the Road Glide had a slightly lowered suspension compared to Electra Glides and Road Kings. Just looking at HD's site I see they all have the same 5.3" ground clearance so are they all using the same shocks now? If so are they what was on Street Glides or the taller ones?

No. Better go back & check specs again.

Thanks I didn't look at a Ultra Low model, it is definately lower.

I was comparing the regular Ultra, Limited, Street Glide/Special, Road King, and Road Glide. Near as I can tell they all are the same length shocks now whereas some used to have 1/2" or so shorter shocks.

OK. The SG, SGS, UC Low, Limited Low, RG, RGS have 12" shocks. UC & Limited have 13" shocks. Some also have reduced height front suspensions as well. If you look through the touring models a bit closer, you will find at least 3 different ground clearance specs listed across the line

Thanks for your insite I'm just trying to figure why the SG, SGS, RG, and RGS with 12" shocks have the same 5.3" ground clearance that the UC, UC Limited do with 13" shocks?

13" on RK's? It also has the same 5.3" clearance.

With searching all parts I am of the oppinion that all 2014 touring have the exac same dampening tubes making the forks exactly the same size/length. I am not an authority but I did search every available part listed on Part Smart & also spent a night at the Red Roof Inn.

Shorter rear shocks with larger/taller frt wheel equals same lean angle. Sounds good to me!

I just replaced my air shocks on my 14 SG with the premium ride adjustable oil filled spring shocks off a SGS and they were the exact same length eye to eye...12"

Thanks GPHDXLH.

What seat is that on the RK in your avatar, and would you buy it again? I'm considering a new RK but the stock seat is too low and forward for me so I'd have to change it.
