Gas mileage question
I'm wondering if anyone can share what kind of mileage they are getting if they have the same setup as me
I have a 15 Ultra classic with the following
Agitator intake
VH power duals
VH twin slash rounds
Dealer tune
If you tuned with an aftermarket like a FP3 I would be interested as well.
I'm running about 34 mpg and I think I could get better. Oh I do run non ethanol as much as possible

That sounds pretty low. Our bikes vary depending on speed. Back roads 55 - 60 mph we have averaged 50 mpg several times. As we increase speed to 75-80 43 mpg. we use Power Vision tuners and the bikes run great.
That's kind of what I'm thinking too.
Most of my riding is to and from work and a combination of residential and state highway. It's 15 miles one way but I can see big drops in my gas gauge after each stop.
After I put my power duals on I used my FP3 and loaded the recommended map. After that my dealer convinced me they could get a better tune with their new dyno and had just done a bike with near the same components and could produce the same hp and torque. Well it was a bit lower than the other bike but it also seems like I don't have the same low end as with the FP3.
If the odometer didn't read mileage correctly I'd think it and the gas gauge were linked and I was only getting 15 mpg.

Similar set up as you and on a long road trip I was getting right around 43-45 consistently when there was no headwind and speed at 65-70. After one of the guys on a trike left to go back home we were at 75-80 and it dropped to mid to low 30's. The mixture fattens up at higher throttle positions and that's where you lose the mileage. Make sure you calibrate your speedometer with your FP3 as that can change your computed mileage by a large margin.

Something's not right with your tune.
I have a '15 RGS, SE Ventilator A/C, Vance & Hines Pro Pipe, and SEPST Smart Tune.
I average low 40's in "spirited riding, 43-44 in normal cruising, and 45 at a steady 65-70.

In 10,000 miles I've averaged a bit more than 44 MPG with my 2015 Ultra Limited. Out of necessity all of my fuel is 10% Ethanol (California fuel blend), although the impact of Ethanol on fuel economy is greatly over exaggerated. It sounds like you've got a problem of some sort.

I'm running V&H's map for my pipe with 1:1 race throttle (instant response, love it), did some auto-tuning (not as much as I wanted to), increased the accel enrichment (.2) and decreased decel enleanment (.4 which actually increases the fuel for an instant such as between shifts to eliminate that occasional popping) and I increased my a/f to 14.0 for all the cruise settings in the map. I can run mine pretty hard and still get mid-high 30s and if I'm a good boy low-mid 40s and it runs smooth, has good power up/down the tach whether I crack it open or just roll it on gradually so I'm happy. Those 50 mpg days are over for me since I did the speedo calibration, the faster reading no longer butters up the mileage like it used to, now it's on the money. The FP3 is great for guys like me that like tinkering a little and don't want to buy ANOTHER tuner and take a road trip to someone that really knows their stuff. If worse comes to worse and you don't like what you did, you can change it, erase it and go back to V&H's map which isn't too bad as is. When/if you choose to doctor up any parts of a map on your own, go a little at a time ... you will know if you did bad or good when you ride it. That's the other good thing with the FP3, you don't have to spend more money or be at the dealer's mercy when you want to experiment. Good luck, hope you get it straightened out. Lots of guys will help you in here if you need it.

There's two key words that should've threw up the red flag right there .... "new dyno" ... especially at a dealer. I'll bet it was run by newbies too, the dealer is the LAST place you ever want to go for a proper tune. Chances are they loaded a canned map into your bike, threw it on the roller, made a couple power runs and shipped you out the door with a piece of paper you could wipe your azz with compared to an individual shop that specializes in tuning, takes their time and actually knows and cares about what they're doing. There are some dealer techs that might be good, but I guarantee they aren't going to take the 3,4 or 5 hours to tune every aspect of your engine the way it should be done, their boss wants you in/out so they can take the next guy's money for a race tuner and dyno time. No offense, but it sounds like you were happier with the FP3 map than what the dealer suckered you into ... don't fall for their bs.

I have a 2015 Ultra Classic with SE AC, V&H Power duals, V&H Monster Rounds, and FP3. I average 42 MPG at 70 to 75 MPH. Goes up to 44 MPG at 60 to 65 MPH. I used the V&H tune for this combo then auto tuned.
