I am considering buying the 2019 RG Special, but want nothing to do with the stock seat.
I have a MeanCity Cycle fitted seat on my '08, and am wondering if I can simply use it on the '19 if I do make the purchase.
For some reason I don't think they are interchangeable....

It should work. 08-19 Touring all use the same mounting configuration. I use my 08 RG seat on my 17 RGU.

You are in luck 08-19 are interchangeable throughout the HD touring line, same seat for those years fits any touring model. Prior to that 97-07 were interchangeable for those years but not across the entire line. You can go to any of the after market seat companies website Mustang, LaPera etc... and verify that

The '08 and '09 FLHs have 2 different generation frames .and the '08 seats fit BOTH. Really??? I would have lost a lot of money on that bet.
