Default LA Choppers Riser Extensions and Cage fighter setup

FYI LA choppers is making riser extensions that fit the breakouts. The riser at least on my '18 is 1.75 inches wide. Got off the phone with them and they told me that they had some just for the breakouts. Thought I would post this, in case anyone else needed fatter than the usual 1.5 inch wide extensions.

They also have a T-bar setup that you buy as a package called the cage fighter. I saw it at a workshop this past weekend. I was really impressed with their quality and fit and finish. They will be coming out with a speedo relocation kit for the street bob and breakout lcd speedos very soon too.

I ordered the cagefighter 10" total rise T-bars and wasn't impressed with the risers at all. The quality seemed to be OK but they are pretty thin looking. I also didn't like the fact that the riser legs bolt to the bottom clamp. I was under the impression that the lower clamp and the riser legs were one solid piece.

I decided to go with HCP risers or Forbidden Machine risers which are similar to the HCP risers. They are much more beefy and the bottom clap is integrated into the risers legs instead of bolting onto a seperate lower clamp as a seperate piece. Just seems like a potential weak point in the whole Cage Fighter set up. I'm sure it would have been fine but I didn't like them nonetheless. The bars seemed to be pretty nice bars though.

I don't know. They seemed nice to me. Expecially at their price point. They seem to be the only ones I have found with the super fat extensions I need

The price is great for bars and risees together but again they just looked too thin for my liking and I didn't like that the risers bolted on the bottom clamp.

Going with these. They cost quite a bit more but are more of what I'm looking for.

These look pretty similar and are a bit less expensive but I like the top clamp on the HCP Risers better.

And these bars.

oh I agree all those are killer. I would go with the hardcase ones too. I'm hindered by my lcd speedo at the top of my risers. There are a couple relocating brackets, but I'm not spending 300 on just the speedo relocating cup. I think I am just going to try theirn1.5 riser extension, and get my chrome riser powder coat gloss black.

Yeah I guess it may look kinda funny having your Speedo way up on top of the risers if you went taller. And I hear you on the relocation brackets. That's a lot to pay for one.

Let us know how the extensions work out for you.

As an FYI, the 1.75" diameter riser extensions by LA Choppers will NOT fit into the 2018 Breakout upper fork bracket recesses. Don't ask me how I know :-)

No, but if you go get 2 grade 8 washers, and run them under them under the extensions they fit perfect. The bushing sits just below the top of the recess. I put one washer under the extension, and there was about 2mm of clearance. i decided to run 2 and it is perfect once it is all torqued down.
