Default FXDR on wet roads

Any one has water splashing on their backs from the fat tire while riding on wet roads on the FXDR? Anyone solved this?

It's a constant problem on the Fat Bob, and the only real solution is to get a longer fender.

Or that sportbike looking fender shown in this thread.

I thought the FXDR came with a sportbike style mud guard/plate mount? I guess it doesn't help much?

I think the problem is that cutout before the license plate on the rear fender. Any FXDR owners who have the same problem ?

I have this with my Bob, a bit better now with the license plate mounted in the fender and al so with my Breakout who have the short TB fender and 260 on it.
It looks like I roll around in the mod on my back .

Yep, all us Fat Bob owners have been dealing with that for a year and a half.

Had the same issue on many bikes with bobbed rear fenders (including the Slim in my profile pic). If you run no front fender you will get sprayed too, that's just the way it is.

I'm really baffled over the cutout in the rear fender. I didn't notice until after I bought the bike. Hit a wet road, literally 2 minutes after leaving HD Pattaya, and felt the water splashing up my back. What a brilliant idea. I don't know if its there to annoy buyers, or if they are planning to sell an aftermarket part that plugs the hole.

Yes indeed. A bag on a rack solves it though. Or a pillion passenger....

Or the International licence plate holder, but that is UGLY.
