Depends on you definition of detachable. Quick detach? No. Detachable? Yes. Unscrew two fasteners per bag and they come off. If you want quick detach, then you need to look elsewhere. One place you might consider is Leather Pros and their quick detach bags.
I guess it depends on how “quick” you think “quick detachable” should be. They’re a lot better than any previous Harley I’ve had and leave no hardware behind.
Not it that I ever remove the bags. The swing arm is the ugliest part of the new Softails and looks nothing like the rear frame of a rigid Panhead IMO. The less I see of it the better.
