Default 2018 Heritage Classic?

I have been debating between the Heritage Classic and the Road King and although many things lead to the Road King, I do love the way the Heritage looks and sits and the 114 Motor is appealing to me. I also do mostly short in town rides with little highway riding.

Any owners regret purchasing the Heritage 114 over the Road King?

Traded my 114 Heritage for a new Street Glide, was not the bike for me.

I had to make the same decision and wound up buying the 114 Heritage. It handles fantastic is pretty comfortable and has more power then you'll ever need. Having said that, the Road King, can't be beat for long distance touring and is a great looking and handling motorcycle. My long distance touring days are over so I went with the Heritage, which is 100 pounds lighter. Good luck with your choice!

I have the Heritage....the RK is awesome but just a touch big for me.

But bottom line.....no bad decision here. Enjoy

Thanks, was a very tough decision but I did go with the RK, just rode nicer and handles good.

If I was doing a lot of two up riding distance or if I was living off the bike and needed more storage room, I’d choose the RK. Since I probably will do only one multi-thousand mile trip a year, I don’t need the capacities the RK has.

The Heritage 114 handles, accelerates and stops nicely. I like a lighter bike for commuting and shorter trips. I put a backrest and carrier on it and that will support my luggage requirements for the occasional longer trip.

My typical yearly mileage is around 9,000, so I don’t need a touring platform for my kind of riding.

I’m planning to leave Florida and visit family and friends on a ride to Toronto this summer on the 114. Maybe i’ll have a different view, after that.
