Default Bung king crash bar for highway pegs?

I am thinking about the bing king crash bar for my low rider s. I am 6 ft tall, will it work as a highway bar? I have heard mixed reviews. Out of the few options I am leaning towards the bung king. It seems like feet would hit brake and shifter levers?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have it on my LRS.
My inseam is 30 inches and I cannot reach the bars to put my feet on.
in order to be used as a foot rest you would only be able to put your foot ( back of ankle) on top of the bar. Not the sole of your foot.
hope this helps

I have this one on my FXFBS and I love it. It already saved my butt when taking a turn over some slippery railroad tracks -_-

At any rate, on the open road I can reach and put my feet on the upper portion of the bar, and it's great! Just another spot to put my feet on long rides. Personally, i don't like the "mustache" crash bars as I think they look ugly. The BungKings are def more attractive looking and I think much more sturdy built...JMHO.

Do keep in mind that there are compatibility issues with mid controls and forward controls for the crash bar options.

I have the same bar you have pictured and I am a little over 6 feet as well. I loved the look and position of the bars, unfortunately, when I put forwards on I had to take them off because the brake made contact. It says in their description that that style is made for mid controls. I highly recommend them, and will be selling mine soon to get the taller ones for forward controls.

I have been considering these for my FXFBS, are you using their passenger pegs too? How much protection did they provide? did it keep the motorcycle complete off the ground or was there some damage to the hard parts?

My setup is very similar to the setup you're asking about and this is how it performed when I rode over some black ice:

Basically no real damage.

I just installed HD's new Flat-Out crash bar, which I'm sure is their attempt to keep customer cash from going to Bung King. Definitely planning to use as highway peg relief for my legs as I can easily reach it with my 31" inseam.
