contacted @AdvanBlack .

verified that stock bars and blinkers will work. larger fork cowbells will work as well.

after making the order, they mentioned via chat that I'll need a 5-3/4" headlight. Found a new HD branded one on ebay for a discounted price. Can't bring myself to by a cheap headlight. no bueno. plus-I actually like the look of the HD LED headlights.

@AdvanBlack mentioned that a regular engine guard may have fitment issues. I ordered a cheap set of fairing supports instead of shelling out $165 for the Harley Part number 47200927. At least i'll only be out 65$ if they don't work.

If this thread gains traction, I'll document this for others in case they're interested in doing the same.

you’re welcome. I was very happy paint and packaging. No rattles. I did try a couple windshields as the one that comes with the fairing is

a little short for me. Before you put the outer fairing on I recommend wrapping the turn signal’s with micro fiber towels to avoid scratches.

They told me they have my color in stock and ready to ship. They said it should go out tomorrow. We'll see.

Interested in seeing how this turns out. Good you you for doing the documentation on this.

On their site I noticed- They had brackets for the 18+ heritage compatible * With Engine guards* and *Without engine guards. * I would have thought the * with* would be the standard mustache style Harley crash bars that most people get. (the one you have)
Curious to know if they fit those- If its not too much trouble try it!.

Also Curious about the stock handle bar fitment.

Handlebars=we should have clearance clarence. (doesn't mean they'll look great)

They told me that I had to use the brackets with NO engine guard and they didn't know if the HD supports would work with a full or mustache engine guard. (on a heritage classic) So I got a set of chineesium ones to try out. Much cheaper than the HD ones.

How I understood it-and according to advanblack, I need both options. The highlighted bracket is the MAIN heavy bracket that is used to mount to your frame. The circled bracket is to mount the fairing to your down rails. in front of the bike. IF you have the HD mounting brackets that allow for use of an engine guard, you don't need the circled brackets. BUT they also questioned if you can even mount their fairing to a heritage WITH an engine guard and even using the HD brackets. Hope that makes sense. of course, if someone comes along and says I'm wrong about that, I won't be surprised.

I'm loving my Advanblack ST fairing and very happy with the fit and finish, the fairing works better than the previous Road warrior, the fit was easy but the rubber grommets were a little difficult but my brother found them easy, also good service about a week for deliveries to New Zealand

The ST fairing brace is a bar that attaches the lower fairing to the frame to hold it up besides the 4 bolts up front attaching it. The turn signals attach into that bar.

I just installed the Harley flat out bar. It mounts to the same point of the frame above the oil cooler. It needs a different bracket than the fairing mount and comes with that. The flat out bar, or a mustache bar if you did that, goes where the fairing bracket is goes... So it has to do.

The new brackets... Yes stupid they cost so much and I got cheapo from Amazon... Simply attach to the fairing in the same place, and run down to clamp on to the newly installed bar making everything solid again... And the turn signals attach to those. The cheapo brackets are well made and certainly beefy...

However... When I went to attach the turn signals it was a no go. Basically the bolt has a big head, and the bracket is too thick, and there is interference with the bolt head sitting flat on the bracket. So I had to take both brackets and dremel the inside corners to allow the bolt to sit flat... GTG. And it doesn't weaken the bracket. There is a lot of material and what I had to do just isn't a big deal.

So yes, Adavan uses same fairing support, and anyone will have same issue mounting anything that goes to that frame mounting point above the oil cooler, and the brackets still support fair but attach to whatever you need to mount there.

And I say that just to say if Adavan uses the Harley fairing support bracket... Then I can't see how they are not sure if you can mount anything with an engine guard. Because on the fairing end, the attachment point and method is identical... It's just different with how it routes down to new bar and attaches. So with me, I can't see how you would not be able to use any engine guard, and new brackets to support fairing.

And in fact... For anyone reading this... I have my normal ST fairing support bracket removed to run my Harley flat out bar which I really like and it will stay. So if you need a standard support... Hit me up with a PM.
