This is my 3rd Fat Boy, previously owned a 2005 and a 2009. Both had decals rather than actual badges.
The 2005 (top) of course had the classic Fat Boy logo decal/
The 2009 (bottom) had a more "bastardized" version of the logo which I never cared for
the 2025 (middle) of course has an unrecognizable logo that bears no resemblance to a Fat boy logo and vaguely resembles an Indian logo and I dont care for it at all, but at least its a proper badge.
Old ones gone now so the choice is no badge or the proper Fat Boy badges shown in the first post. Definitely cant spend more money on bar/shield badges or any other
at this point
As suggested earlier, when I have some time tomorrow I'm going to temporarily stick the new badges on to see how they look.
Because the badges are curved/cupped to conform to the shape of the tank I dont have a lot of wiggle room in placement. I can adjust the shape of the badge a little bit without visibly damaging them, but not too much. We'll see if I can place them in a way that doesnt look bad with respect to the line of the colors on the tank. I expect the forward "wing" of the logo
is going to wind up crossing the border between the two colors.
Chunks, I apologize. I hit the wrong tab when I was trying to quote your message and edited it instead of quoting it and the photos were removed. I sometimes forget that I have the Edit tab due to being a team member.
If you would, please post them back up.

LOL!
I noticed the photo was gone before I saw your message. I'm like "I dont think I'm tripping, but I could swear I posted a photo there..."
With the two-tone paint, I'd go no badges. Especially if the older ones are going to impost on the color border. Just my 2 cents. But I agree the OEM is no bueno.
OK, heres the with and without comparison on the new badge. Badge is currenty just taped on with painters tape.
Due to the 3D curve of the tank, and the bade being shaped to fit the tank, this is pretty much where the badge has to sit.
Its not just flatly curved, but cupped so it curves in multiple directions. Trying to bend the badge to fit will pretty much wreck it..
So its either on this spot, or no spot at all.
I knew going in that the badge would not be lined up with the paint border, and was thinking this wouldnt look good or clash, however seein git in place
the shape of the badge, and alignment, is so different from the curve that it doesnt "feel" like there is a desire for them to align in some way. that makes sense.
Yesterday I had been leaning toward no badge thinking this would not look great, but seeing it actually in place I've changed my mind, and decided I like it.
I do have to perfect this spot before I actually stick them in place. As it sits here the bike is sitting slightly nose high on a gently sloped driveway and I want to get it level, and then eyeball it more
before I stick it down to make sure everything is perfect
OK I decided to go with the old school badge rather than no badge. Shes all stuck on now and I'm pretty happy with the look.
I think its a huge improvement over the OEM badge, and well worth the hassle of getting that thing off the tank
The other side looks the same. I took great pains to make sure it was perfectly in alignment with the badge on the exhaust side, which I placed first.
I definitely dont feel like it clashes or feels awkward with regard to the paint
