@Kickers1999 I have moved this thread from the Forum Issues section to the 2018+ Softail Models section as you will get better responses to your question in this section. The Forum Issues section is for raising any issues you are having with the Harley Davidson Forum website software, not motorcycle related technical questions.
I have a ‘25 Fat Boy. I hate the seat it came with so I bought a new Sundowner solo and passenger seat, and a slightly used ‘23 Breakout seat. The sundowner is comfortable all day seat, nice and wide, but I didn’t like seating position. I was looking for something a little lower and further back. The Breakout seat works great for me. Did 100+ miles on it today.
The Sundowner seats are for sale.
What's everyone's choice for a seat on a 100 mile day ride with a 2025 Fatboy?
I have a Saddlemen Renegade Solo on my 2025 Fat Boy and its by far the best, most comfortable seat I've had on any of the 3 Fat Boys I've owned.
Unlike the factory seat, and the mustang seat I also tried, with the saddlemen seat I'm not about to slide off the back when I hit the trottle hard.
Can definitely do a 100 mile ride, no issues and didnt break the bank. I think it was around $250ish
I have two seats, both Saddlemen. One is the Renegade Solo LS that @chunks showed above (although mine has black stitching) that I use in the summer, when I'm riding "stripped down" without bags or windshield. In the winter (or if I need to strap on a bag) I switch to my Step-up LS. Both are very, very comfortable for me.
Mark, I considered buying your Sundowner seats but I am worried that the seat won’t work for me, I’m 6’-3” and might not sit enough back. I do want to sit a bit higher but I don’t want to sit closer to the bars.
I understand. I don’t think it sits me any higher, but it definitely does not push you farther back. I think it’s the same distance from the bars as the stock seat.

So each summer you pull off the saddlebags and windshield, and swap out the seat, the exhaust system, paint job, and tank badge?
