Let me ask the first technical question
I'm adding tour-pak speakers to my 24 Road Glide. I ordered the 500W amplifier (which I understand is required to provide 4 speaker capability). I also ordered some Rockford Fosgate stage 1 speakers. A pair for the fairing and a pair to fit in the tour-pak speaker enclosures.
There is a harness with a connector under the seat that carries audio cables from the amp. This is used for the saddlebag speaker setup. Looking at the installation instructions for the saddlebag speakers it shows the audio cables are in pins 5,6 for channel three and 7,8 for channel 4.
So.. Are these speaker level, or line level? Can I just make up my own custom harness/plug and connect these wires directly to the speakers?
(And.. I know about selecting speakers through the IFCU speaker setup routine and that the amp will most likely need a firmware update after I install it).
