I did not have to drill any holes... just get a small angle bracket and bolt it on... i will try and snap some pics before i start my tear down this weekend, be sure when you are bolting the horn to the angle bracket you use loctite and test the horn... if you bolt it on too tight to the bracket the horn will sound like a die'n duck... loosen it till the horn diafram can move then just bolt it down on one fothe bolt down there... easy as pie! mine sits almost in the same spot as Muds just a bit deaper in the bike

I'm gonna get on this project as soon as possible ... Maybe today.
I'd really like to just tear the dam thing off, but they wouldn't
give me that super cool little inspection sticker if I done that.

sounds fine... sounds just the same... HD horns are pretty pathetic as it is... as long as you do not torqe the horn to the angle bracket super tight it will sound just the same

This may sound novice to most, but did you remove the tank when you were re-routing the wires?
Was gonna try to get started today, but it's too cold .. in the shed with no heat.

even w/o lift you should be able to get the wires out easy.
At the very worst, loosen the front tank bolt,
take the rear bolt out,
and lift the rear of the tank a little.
Be careful if you have to raise the tank,
disconnect fuel line
and don't get too violent with that line.
Plenty of folks on here have brokem.
Do you have the service manual??

If you need a place to keep your insurance and registration, get a thumb screw for your seat, Harley seels one, then get one of adhesive backed packing slip holders that you would stick to a box, and just stick it to the underside of your seat. Then when you need your papers you just undo the thumbscrew and pull off your seat.

Tank isn't lifted.
I didn't studyexisting routing too much,but thought I may pull other wires out while moving horn wiring.
I have a few days off this weekend, andam hoping for temps above(-5oC) so I can get goin'.
I will try to pull the wires out without friggin' with the tank,
but I havea service manual if it comes to that.
