Question PBR300x2 MEX-M70BT CS67 No Bass

I started with the Sony MEX-M70BT stereo, then swapped out the hog tune speakers with the kickers. Recently I installed the amp. It's very loud and clear but I can't figure out how to increase the bass. Instead of just bass and treble settings on the stereo, it has 10 HZ settings (custom EQ). I messed with them but nothing seemed to change much. I set it back to factory settings and turned off the loudness beforehand. Anyone have this similar setup (or at least understand the M70BT settings) and can recommend optimal settings? I would greatly appreciate it.

Not sure how little bass you have but you have to be somewhat realistic on the amount of bass those speakers will produce.

Check your amp settings. Do you have it set to High Pass? If so that means it will allow all frequencies ABOVE where you have it set. Bass = low numbered frequencies. So if your HP is set to 70hz let say, that means that anything under 70hz is cut off. So if you want bass set it to AP.

Next turn all your radio settings off. No bass boost, no loudness, etc. Set your radio HPF to 60hz slope 1. Now if you raise the low end freqs on your EQ to get more bass, you will get distortion at higher volumes.

I have everything set as you described except the HPF. I saw that setting but don't remember where it's at. I'll check it. I'm not trying to get a lot, just some and avoid the distortion. I cranked it up as loud as I could stand it in the garage and had no distortion...

That's a very nice sounding system. I found on that set up the default settings on the HU work best. In other words reset the HU to the original Sony settings. Should sound much better and take care of the distortion.

Also a little polyfill may help tighten up the low end some.
